Day Three... Linz to Grein... 66 hard km

Hot, humid with horrible headwinds. We had a late start on our longest ride day. The late start was because I had left my plug adapter in Schlögen. Luckily, since they were sold out of plug adapters at the electrical store, I found an Austrian charger for iPhones which works on the iPad.

Can't recharge my camera battery, but I have another battery and perhaps Bryn will have something I can use.

Leaving Linz.
Above is the approach to Grein. We had to get to a meeting place in town by 5:00 pm for the van to take our bikes and us up the steep, 6 km hill to our hotel. Exhausted, we got there at 4:30, in time for a quick beer. When we went out of the pub to meet the van, a bee followed me and stung me. Not a good day. We don't think Paul could have completed this ride at the speed we needed to do against the wind.

Since Paul would not have lost the charger, he would have been able to doddle along the Danube in the extra couple of hours and make it to the hotel in lots of time. :-)
I didn't leave the charger behind. It was the small plug with European prongs into which one puts the North American plug. I think you have left one somewhere as well. Since they we're out of North American adapters, I had to buy a charger.
