To Vienna 46 km... With my uncertain guiding

We took a half hour train ride to Tulln with a group of Canadians from Kamloops and Edmonton who are traveling on to Budapest as well. Here, Carole and Roy are taking their bikes out of the train station.
The group, ready to begin. We passed by the others at their morning coffee stop. We should have stayed with them because they arrived at the Vienna hotel at 2:30 pm while we followed a different route and arrived at 5:00 pm.

It helped when I asked a nice older couple where we were on the map rather than where the street we needed was. We found out that we were much further south, in the centre of the city, rather than in the north in the "burbs" where our hotel is located.

We will try to stick together for the next part of the trip.

Sounds like an adventure. Do they not give route maps on the trip?
Yes, they do. I've learned to point at the map and ask where we are, not where a certain street is. After I found out that we were far south of where we should be, it was easy.

Vienna has a LOT of bike paths.
